Who We Are

This idea was originally born from Pisgah’s first ligament tear. Barn owner Emily made the best of a potentially frustrating situation at a self-care stable, including borrowing portable corral panels to limit turnout, and lots of in hand dressage work, all while working a full time corporate job. She realised there was a niche for this type of high quality care for owners who want the best for their horse but aren’t always able to be present for vet visits. With this in mind, she transitioned from corporate America to a barn manager position, acquired a MagnaWave PEMF unit, and concurrently completed an equine massage certification course, and moved to Aiken in August 2019.

Barn manager Christin has been a horsewoman since childhood, originally in the hunter/jumper world. She cared for Emily’s Pisgah (and others) in 2016 and 2017 at a mainly self care facility while Emily had her corporate job. Pisgah is thrilled to have her favourite staff member back, as Christin moved to Full Moon Farm in December 2024.

Together as a team, we have the capacity to handle many equine recovery situations, and excel at following veterinary instructions to the letter.
